We’ve been saying hola to loads of new faces recently, a massive three new restaurants throughout the country!

First off we welcomed team Newport who opened their shiny new doors at the end of November and are gearing up to sort out cinema go-ers movie munchies when it opens later this week. Don’t forget to leave your reviews on our website and we’ll give you 25% off your next meal!

Next we were off to Stoke at the beginning of December where Miro and the team have been keenly showing off their cocktail making skills. Vamos!

And last but not least, the team in Mansfield have been conga lining the area to get everyone in the mood for a fiesta which kicked off on the 9th of December.

Chiquito has landed in Exeter

Officially opened earlier this month, the team at #Mexeter have been creating a sombrero-ing storm down in Devon.

Hola to our new restaurant in Crewe!

On Friday 31st July, general manager Aiden and his team opened the doors for the soft opening weekend.

Officially open Monday 3rd August, be sure to come and say "Hola" to our team in Crewe!

Winner of cocktail masterclass visits us at Leicester Square!

Marie Bovington, the lucky winner of the Marie Claire cocktail masterclass, visited our Leicester Square restaurant on Saturday 18th July with 3 amigos to enjoy a cocktail masterclass session with our head of bar and drinks development Ross.

They made a variety of Chiquito favourites including classic Mojito, Margaritas, Whiskey and Amaretto Sours. And of course we had to give a Tequila sampling session including Patron Silver, Patron Reposado, Don Julio Anejo, Cuervo Reserva de la Familia.

Chiquito Buzziness Conference 2015

150 of our Managers' descended on Drayton Manor last week for our Chiquito Conference…… We like to call it the ‘Chiquito Buzziness Conference 2015’

First half of the day, we put our managers' through a ‘It’s a Knock-Out’ style tournament to test their team work and their durability. 

In the evening, we celebrated the year of the Chiquito buzz with an awards ceremony to congratulate the great work from our teams and restaurants in 2014.

Then we finished the night off in style with a #ProudToWorkForChiquito Selfie!

Chiquito restaurants dish up £5200 donation for blood cancer charity

Team members at the Chester branch of Tex-Mex restaurant chain Chiquito, was pleased to host a cheque presentation for £5223 to blood cancer charity Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research on 19 March, as part of a fundraising campaign launched by the restaurant chain to support the charity.

In last year’s budget, Chancellor George Osborne announced a cut of 1p per pint on beer duty. Chiquito decided to pass this saving on to Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, donating 1p from each pint sold in all 81 Chiquito restaurants across the UK, between March and the end of December 2014.

Jacqueline Fletcher from Chiquito head office, presented a cheque to Peter and Glenys Hobson from the Chester branch of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.

Cathy Gilman, Chief Executive of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, added: “We are incredibly grateful to everyone involved at Chiquito for their dedication to raise funds for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research. The money raised will help us in our mission to beat blood cancer, improve the lives of all those affected, and stop people from dying.”

Jason Green, Managing Director of Chiquito, said: “Chiquito are really pleased to help support a great cause Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, we know this money will all help to aid the charity and be put to good use.”

Chiquito serves up over £12,500 donation for British Heart Foundation

Team members at the Hemel Hempstead branch of the biggest UK Tex-Mex restaurant chain Chiquito, hosted a cheque presentation for £12,709.53 to the British Heart Foundation (BHF) in February, for funds raised in their 81 restaurants to support the charity.

The money was raised by the restaurants by an assortment of fundraising activities, including hosting charity breakfasts, fun days, raffle prizes and donations from guests at the restaurant.

Amit Aggarwal, Head of Corporate Fundraising at the BHF, said: “We are so grateful to have the support of team in Chiquito.  As a charity we rely on funds raised through fundraising efforts to continue our lifesaving research to fight heart disease. The support of the team at Hemel Hempstead will enable us to continue fund this essential research.

Jason Green, Managing Director of Chiquito, said: “Chiquito was really proud and pleased to help support such a great cause. We know this money will be put to excellent use by the BHF and continue to allow them to fight for every heartbeat.”

Chiquito 2015 charity- Millie's Trust

We are very happy to announce that our charity for 2015 is Millie's Trust. A great charity who do so much great work all over the UK. Millie's Trust was created by the parents of Millie Thompson who tragically passed away in a choking incident in October 2012. You can donate & find more out about the charity at www.milliestrust.com

In 2014, Chiquito raised over £18,000 for British Heart Foundation and Leukemia and Lymphoma Research and we will pledge all we have to break this in 2015. Jason Green Managing Director of Chiquito said "We are so happy to be supporting this great charity this year and we know that all funds we raise, no matter how big or small, will help support and be put to great use!" 

Joanne and Dan Thompson said "We are so pleased here at Millie’s Trust that Chiquito have chosen us to be their Charity of the Year for 2015. The monies raised will enable us to host many Family First Aid Courses throughout the UK & Ireland, which will hopefully mean that you will see us in a town near you soon. We provide first aid courses for free* OR for a donation on the day – our aim is to provide the knowledge to anyone who looks after a child if they are ever in a situation where Paediatric First Aid is needed. We are looking forward to working with the Chiquito team in the next 12 months!”
